Welcome to Kristina Chartier Photography and San Diego Wedding Candids -- the blog!

Weddings. Babies. Families. I love documenting life. I am a photographer who absolutely loves weddings and the opportunity to capture the unique spirit of every kind of wedding day. What I love most about a wedding is that it is a once in a lifetime day where a family brings all of the most important
people in the entire world to them together. I truly consider it an honor every time I am entrusted with such an important assignment. What means the world to me too, is when my brides call me to photograph their pregnancies, newborn babies and growing families year after year.

Kristina established San Diego Wedding Candids in 1999, known as Kristina Chartier Photography in 2010 and beyond. The San Diego Wedding Candids tradition of beautiful, emotional photography will continue with Kristina and her trusted associates.

OK. I still have so many ‘09 sessions to blog, but had to go ahead share this session I just finished with two very special sisters. I have been photographing them for the past 5 years. Here are they are! High Jumper the cat even made an appearance this year.

Stacy and Andrew – Del Mar Engagement Photography

San Diego Portrait Photographer

This sweet family is so special to me. I’ll never forget meeting Kristin for the first time when I walked into her suite with my cameras at the Hotel Del Coronado on her wedding day. She was so funny and is one of those rare people you instantly feel close to. I remember thinking, I wish she was my sister! You might recognize Kristin from Tiffany’s wedding earlier this year - she was one of the gorgeous bridesmaids. And how cute are her children (and husband!)?!

A special thanks to the talented Carrie Sandoval for my headshot, which was from my maternity session. I am so happy that I hired a professional photographer for maternity photographs then again for Elina’s newborn photos with Christophe.

It’s amazing that it has been a whole year since our precious Elina arrived. Every day with her just gets better and better.
